We had a mixed Memorial Day weekend in terms of weather. When it was good, it was real good, and we went all in with our projects, lasting from before breakfast until dusk. When it was bad, it was, well, wet, and that pretty much curtails all outdoor projects right there.

This image is from several rains ago, but could just as well be from this weekend, except that this weekend when rain boots were put on, it was to quickly watch as a mama duck crossed her twelve ducklings across our street. As much fun as rain can be for the kiddos, I’m eager for days on end of sunshine.

After yesterday’s cool soaking rain, we are looking forward to a bit of spring today. Sunshine! Warmth! And a track meet, an opportunity to grab some vitamin D.
